XMC-7AWP: XMC module with Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA

Acromag presents XMC-7AWP, the new XMC module equipped with Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA, designed to be integrated on VME, VPX, PCIe or other carrier boards. The Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA, among the most popular on the market, interfaces the carrier and thus the Host system via PCIe BUS served by 4x high-speed lanes, benefiting then from the wide bandwidth available to ensure the processing of I/O signals with extreme flexibility through the execution of custom instruction sets and algorithms. The FPGA, through the optimization of its logic component, is well suited for a wide range of applications. Typical uses include hardware simulation, communications, in-circuit diagnostics, mil-grade communications, signal intelligence and image processing. To ensure security, the FPGA’s configuration flash is write-protected. The XMC-7AWP is therefore configurable only via PCIe or JTAG bus. Rear I/O provides high-speed 8-lanes serial interface, 10 GbE connectivity and 94 SelectIO-type channels: single-ended (LVCMOS, HSTL, SSTL) and differential (LVDS, HT, LVPECL, BLVDS, HSTL, SSTL) FPGA Artix-7 I/O pins. Acromag’s technical development kit provides software utilities and VHDL code examples to simplify software development and speed up design activities. XMC-7AWP offers extended operation from -40°C to +75°C.
