Men Mikro presents MH70I, a modular application-ready industrial PC which meets the requirements of any industrial environment. MH70I offers a multitude of configuration possibilities: the Intel Core i7-based system consists of a modular 40 HP CompactPCI system which can be wall or rackmounted. The system offers two PSU slots to ensure reliability and redundancy with AC or DC power input. Two CompactPCI peripheral slots and two CompactPCI Serial peripheral slots as well as 2 PCI or PCI Express slots can accommodate a large range of functions. Possible functions of the MH70I include binary and analog process I/O or motion counters as well as COMs and fieldbus functions such as CANopen, DeviceNet, Real-Time-Ethernet (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, POWERLINK, PROFINET, SERCOS, Varan) and PROFIBUS (master and slave for all functions). The system always offers 2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces at the front of the CPU board with the possibility to implement up to 8 additional standard RJ45 or fiber optics Ethernet interfaces PCI Express Mini cards for wireless functions such as WLAN and UMTS can also be provided. A SATA RAID can be built using up to four CompactPCI Serial hard disk carrier boards.

Men Mikro presents CB71C, the ultra-rugged COM Express module, compatible with COM Express Type 6 Pin-Out and to the VITA 59 standard, designed for rail, public transportation and industry applications. CB71C is based on AMD’s V1000 APU family and is equipped with a Radeon Vega next-generation 3D graphics engine with up to 11 computer units, and supports up to 4 displays with a resolution of up to 4k without the need for additional graphics hardware. With up to four high-performance processor cores, the CB71C is also suitable for virtualization. Based on the Rugged COM Express standard, the CB71C is embedded in a closed aluminum frame, which ensures optimum EMC protection and efficient conduction cooling supporting a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. To withstand serious shock and vibration, only soldered components are used. The board features an advanced board management controller with monitoring functions for safety-relevant applications. In addition, the CB71C has a Trusted Platform Module and supports hardware memory encryption, providing protection against both physical and inter-VM storage attacks.

DC15: Rugged 10.4″ Panel PC for Interactive Rail Applications

Men Mikro announces DC15, Panel PC rugged, fanless and maintenance-free human-machine interface (HMI) for railway applications. It features a robust impact-resistant XGA TFT LCD 10.4″ display and a projected capacitive touch screen or 32 illuminated front keys. Built around a T40E AMD Dual Core processor with 1.0 GHz, the DC15 is equipped with 2 GB RAM and a 16 GB mSATA disk. Standard interfaces include two Fast Ethernet, one USB, one CAN, one audio, one GPIO, and one serial. All electronic components are soldered to withstand shock and vibration, backed up by its solid M12 connectors, and are protected by conformal coating. An M.2 slot and PCI Express Mini Card interface can control wireless communication functions like 2G, 3G, 4G and GPS with two micro-SIM card slots accessible at the back of the panel. The DC15 can provide Multifunction Vehicle Bus (MVB) master or slave support where necessary, by adding an MVB PCI Express Mini Card from Duagon. This makes the display scalable for different applications. The DC15 comes with an extremely rugged housing with an IP65 compliant front. It supports a railway-compliant power supply of 24 or 110 VDC, its internal PSU complying with EN 50155 class S2. Also in compliance with the standard, the DC15 operates in a class TX -40°C to +70°C environment (+85°C for 10 minutes), achieved through fanless conduction-cooling technology.

G25A: CPCI-Serial Embedded Single Board Computer with Intel Xeon D

Men Mikro announces G25A new CPCI Serial Single Board Computer high-performance multicore CPU platform based on Intel’s Xeon D-1500 System-on-a-Chip (SoC) up to 16 processor cores and built in Intel® VT-d and VT-x support ideally suited for virtualization applications. The memory configuration of the G25A includes a state-of-the-art fast DDR4 DRAM with ECC which is soldered to the board to guarantee optimum shock and vibration resistance. The G25A offers high data bandwidth on both the front and the rear I/O interfaces, two 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are available on RJ45 or M12 connectors at the front. Paired with I/O cards via G229 I/O Extension Board, the G25A offers one m.2 slot, three USB 3.0 interfaces, one RS232 interface, one RS422/485 interface, one VGA via PCI Express Mini card and up to three flexible slots for two additional RS232 or RS422/485 interfaces. The G25A operates in Windows and Linux environments as well as under real-time operating systems that support Intel’s multi-core architecture, all components are soldered for protection against shock and vibration according to applicable DIN, EN or IEC industry standards. The G25A is also ready for coating so that it can be used in humid and dusty environments and has a guaranteed minimum standard availability of 7 years.
