Roda Computer announces Lizard® RW11, the rugged ultra-light notebook with 15.6“ display size. RW11 comes with a 1920×1080, sunlight readable, Full-HD display with optional touch screen and excels for the storage capabilities, offering two different configurations: one with up to 4x 2.5” SSD drives (2xSATA2 + 2xSATA3) and the other up to 2x 2.5” SATA3 SSD drives + DVD-RW drive. The fanless Lizard® fulfills the requirements of IP 65 protection even with opened I/O-port covers, MIL-STD 810G (-20°C to +60°C, optional heater for -30°C / +60°C only with one fan) and, optionally, MIL-STD 461F (EMC). The laptop features a powerful Intel®-Core i7-Processor, 32GB RAM, several I/O ports as 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB2.0, 2x GBit LAN, 1x MIL DC-In, 1x VGA, 1x Display port, 4x serial DB9 and a multi-bay docking which can include 8 Ports copper switch (1x MIL DC-in, 1x RS232 console port, 8x RJ45 GBit LAN) or 8 Ports Fiber switch (1x MIL DC-in, 1x RS232 console port, 8x LC GBit fi ber LAN).

Abaco Systems announced SBC329, the rugged 3U OpenVPX single board computer (SBC) featuring the latest 7th generation Intel® Core® technology (codenamed “Kaby Lake”) that offers a ~10% performance improvement over its predecessors and, because it is based on Intel’s latest silicon, also delivers greater longevity – extending the life of deployed platforms. The SBC329 is available in two variants, both pin-compatible with the SBC326 and SBC328. For applications prioritizing throughput and performance, the SBC329 is configurable with the Intel Xeon E3-1505M V6 processor operating at 3.0GHz. For applications prioritizing minimal power consumption/heat dissipation, the Intel Xeon E3-1505L operating at 2.2GHz is available.
The SBC329 supports a comprehensive range of onboard I/O features. It also offers an on-board mezzanine expansion site for enhanced system flexibility. Memory resources include 16 GB DDR4 SDRAM, up to 32 GB NAND Flash (SSD), 32 MB BIOS Flash and 16 MB BIOS backup Flash.

ORing Industrial Corp announces ISC-1310FR, the cost-effective media converter designed for extending RS-232/422/485 serial communications with fiber cables. Due to their inherent resistance to EMI/RFI and transient surges, fiber lines are a better choice for data communications near heavy electrical equipment and other electrical or radio interference than copper cables. Thanks to the ring mode support of the ISC-1310FR, up to 32 serial devices can be connected in a ring with a data rate of 115200. There is no need to use a repeater for connection, which significantly reduces installation cost and complexity. With auto baud rate function, the ISC-1310FR can automatically detect the baud rate of a serial device. Therefore, you can rest assured that no data will be lost during transmission even if a device’s baud rate is changed. The device features simple DIP switch configuration, allowing you to change serial modes by toggling the switch.
