Men Mikro annonces G40A, the high-performance, low-power multicore CPU platform based on an ARM Cortex A72 processor. Being full-virtualization ready, it was designed for communication-intensive applications in harsh environments, which need high data bandwidth and computing performance, e.g. in data collection applications onboard trains, in industrial or heavy-vehicle applications. The G40A from MEN is an NXP ARM Cortex A72 LS1046A CPU module in CompactPCI Serial form-factor. Equipped with the quad-core CPU with NXP data processing accelerators, fast PCI Express 3.0, future-ready USB 3.0, SATA Gen. 3 interfaces, Ethernet interfaces on front and an integrated Ethernet switch, the G40A provides unprecedented power, speed, and communication advantages. The G40A secures your application for the future by being full-virtualization ready – memory and I/O sub-systems can be virtualized – and available for the next 15 years. The MEN proprietary board management controller (BMC) monitors the G40A optional parameters such as voltages, temperature and provides a user-configurable watchdog, making it ready for applications where functional safety is required. The memory configuration of the G40A includes a fast DDR4 DRAM with ECC, a non-volatile SRAM, an eMMC NAND Flash device and a microSD card can also be assembled offering space for user applications or usable as a local boot medium. The G40A is prepared for use in harsh environments and comes with a tailored heat sink, all components are soldered for protection against shock and vibration and it is also coated for use in humid and dusty environments.

Acromag’s new SP230 seriesof isolated signal splitters/duplicators are designed for easier installation and setup. Four models, covering a broad range of sensor signals, provide dual 4-20mA outputs proportional to a single current, voltage or temperature input. A USB connection to a Windows PC or Android device enables simple, precise configuration of I/O ranges and a variety of operational settings with free software. A ruggedized design operates reliably from -40 to 80°C with high immunity to electrical noise and surge protection. UL/cUL Class 1 Division 2, ATEX Zone 2 and IECEx hazardous location approvals are pending. Each model accommodates a variety of signal types. The current units are widely adjustable to support ±20mA or 0-20mA DC inputs and 0-20A AC signals with a toroid sensor. Voltage models convert unipolar or bipolar signals from ±1V to ±150V DC with multiple selectable ranges. Thermocouple units accept eight different sensor types (J, K, T, R, S, E, B, N), as well as ±100mV inputs. All models deliver high accuracy, superior noise resistance and fast response times. They also demonstrate excellent linearity and stability with very low temperature drift. 1500V AC isolation safely separates the input from each output circuit and provides continuous 250V AC (354V DC) protection. High-level surge suppression adds further protection from harmful transient signals. SP230 splitters can withstand 25g shock and 4g vibration without fail with spring-loaded DIN rail clips for easy installation, make SP230s the most convenient solution for signal splitting/duplicating applications.
