ORing announces RGS-R9004GP+ME, the new 19″ rack-mount modular layer 3 switch with redundant power supply.
RGS-R9004GP+ME is provided with 6 slots that, equipped with the appropriate modules, can offer up to 48 GbE ports with a fully customizable interface to be chosen between RJ45 and SFP+, which are in addition to four fixed 10 GbE SFP+ ports. The modules, whose use is totally optional, are available in three variants: the first with 8 RJ45 GbE ports, the second with 8 sockets SFP+ GbE, the third with 4 RJ45 GbE ports and 4 SFP+ GbE sockets.
The high connection density provided makes the RGS-R9004GP+ME ideal for large-scale deployments, while providing high-performance connectivity. In addition, the versatile copper/fiber combinations ensure long-distance data communications between network nodes.
The RGS-R9004GP+ME is a Layer 3 switch and therefore provides high security and management efficiency thanks to the RIP routing protocol, which allows efficient communication with the other elements of the network, automatically identifying the best packet routing path, ensuring delivery in the shortest possible time. As a result, the performance of the entire network is improved, while providing enhanced control over data traffic.
In addition to its robust, industry-standard design, the RGS-R9004GP+ME features a 125-370Vdc redundant power supply and fanless design.
