40 Gigabit Ethernet Switch

Interface Concept announces ComEth4412a, a 3U VPX managed Ethernet switch that combines PCIe Gen3 (8GT/s) and Ethernet 10/40 Gbs technologies, aligned to the SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture) standard. ComEth4412a is ideal for applications where rapid data flows need to be controlled in a centralized architecture. In addition to offering significant switching capabilities, the switch brings Ethernet speed to a very high level, offering up to 40 GbE, a real technological advantage when it comes to managing performance in 3U VPX systems. Additionally, ComEth4412a has six PCIe Gen1/2/3 slots (x1, x2 or x4), as well as optional M.2 modules. This combination of features makes ComEth4412a one of the most powerful and modular 3U switch fabric solutions on the market today.
ComEth4412a is based on the same technology as the ComEth4050e and ComEth4070e ranges, using Marvell’s highly integrated System-on-Chip (SoC), which is able to separate the control and data planes via software, which is ideal for ensuring highly protected 3U VPX systems. ComEth4412a switch benefits from the highly expandable Switchware network management application and can be configured remotely via the software’s web interface. ComEth4412a is available in five different ruggedness grades, which allow it to operate in temperatures up to -40°C / +85°C, either with fan cooling or conduction cooling.
